This chaffinch original painting is painted on A4 300gsm watercolour paper using professional quality archival watercolours. It's part of my newest collection called 'Expressive birds'. The artwork is unframed and unmounted, but comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist.
Each painting begins with the background, from there I sketch the bird, trying to find the best position based on where the paint has settled. Then I paint the bird, adding in as much detail as I feel is right. Please note, colours may differ slightly than photographed.
